Since the earliest days of my business education, I believed and still strongly believe today that it is society that provides business with the social license to operate (not the other way around) and that an innovative, inclusive and enlightened system of business – in partnership with governments and non-profits – has the power to transform our world for the better through the productive use of capital and assets for long-term social and economic value creation.
This belief has steered both my educational and professional choices. I have worked my way up to management in a variety of traditional businesses, taken a leadership position in a global non-profit and served as the executive director of a grassroots funding organization. I have also earned a Bachelor of Commerce in International Business and an MBA in Sustainable Business. More recently, I have been providing business consulting to firms around the world and across industries, and I completed my Executive Masters in Social Business and Entrepreneurship from the London School of Economics – and it is this most recent achievement that strengthened my resolve and inspired me to start Grace & Goode.
It has never been more urgent and important for us to work together to transform our economy to one that better serves people and planet – and research now shows that “the business case” also supports this call for change. With my unique set of knowledge, experience and expertise, I feel the time has come for me to fully commit my professional efforts to the cause. I understand the many and varied challenges business, impact organizations and funders face in working towards their impact and financial goals, and while the transition towards a more social approach to business is an opportunity, I also understand it can be overwhelming and many organizations struggle with how to approach it strategically.
I am here to guide you through the process. Having received practical training in the latest social and sustainable business practices from world-leading experts, I can effectively catalyze strategies designed to unlock net new sources of social and economic value in your organization. I also had the opportunity to tap into a global network of specialists across all areas of the industry during my time at LSE and the Marshall Institute – a valuable resource I leverage for my clients when and where needed. In addition to my expertise and network, I pride myself on taking a personalized approach with my clients so that I understand their specific context and deliver relevant solutions that are not only results-oriented but can also be implemented in phases, making them manageable in both organizational time and effort. Whether you’re dealing with employee retention issues, supply chain challenges or any other ESG-related concerns, I’m qualified and committed to helping your organization not only mitigate risks but also strategically incorporate social and sustainable business practices into your fundamentals for a long-term competitive advantage.
