Resources for Impact Organizations
Investments in impact organizations are growing substantially but data shows that investors have clear capital absorption and market readiness concerns.
The following resources highlight relevant research and information that supports the case for the growth and development of impact organizations. If you have any questions about the resources here or are interested in working with me, please reach out:
Investments in impact organizations have been growing substantially for the past 5 years and the potential for future growth is enormous when you consider they currently represent only a small percentage of total assets invested worldwide. This growth is being driven by demand from asset owners, an increasing number of impact organizations, support for the United Nation’s Sustainability Development Goals and demonstrated returns. It is important for impact organizations to be aware and understand the drivers and sources of this growth to effectively take advantage of aligned funding opportunities.
Simply being an impact organization is not, however, sufficient to secure funding support. While many impact investors are investing in growth stage organizations, most assets are concentrated in already mature and established organizations due to capital absorption and market readiness concerns. In other words, investors are unsure whether early and growth stage impact organizations can effectively take in funds and use them productively.
